I first met Chet while working for Walsh Construction in the Lewistown Narrows Project in 2002-2003. It didnt take me long to find out that Chet was a hard worker and a good man. While working on a concrete retaining wall we were building in the canal at the upper end of the project, Chet slipped and came down the ladder head first. I turned around just in time to see him land on his head. I went over to Chet and he wanted to get up but we made sure he stayed still on the footer. He didn't even want and ambulance called but after some arm twisting we convinced him to go to the hospital and get checked out. 3-4 days later he was back at work and fortunately had no serious injury. Thats when I knew Chet was hard headed. I got to know Chet real well over the next few years. He was a man who cared deeply about his family and close freinds.
