Obituary for Anna M. Suter

Anna “Annie” M. Suter, 88, of Mifflintown passed away at 12:24 p.m. on Thursday, April 6, 2017 at the Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.
Born on May 9, 1928 in Mt. Union, Huntingdon County, she is the daughter of the late Steven and Nellie (Shomo) Sullivan. On May 27, 1950 in Newark, N.J. she married her surviving husband, James L. Suter, with whom she was blessed to share more than 66 years of marriage.
Surviving are 3 children, Carol Ann Yinger and her husband Joe, of Lemoyne, James R. Suter and his wife Sabrina, of Mifflintown, Sondra E. Ray and her husband James, of New Hill, N.C., and she leaves behind 4 grandchildren, Corey Suter, Candace Suter, Lindsey Ray and Melissa Ray.
Mrs. Suter was the last of her generation having been preceded in death by 3 brothers and a sister.
Annie was a homemaker who was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She relished the time she spent with her family especially her precious grandchildren. She will long be remembered for crocheting, playing cards and playing games with the grandchildren.
