Wilma Jean Weyrich, 72, of Honey Grove died at 10:16 am on Sunday, Nov. 20, 2016 at her home.
Born on November 13, 1944, in Asheville, North Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Stella Ruth (Childress) Mullis. On August 1, 1964, she married her surviving husband, Joseph L. Weyrich, III, of Honey Grove, with whom she was blessed to share more than 52 years of marriage.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Joseph L. Weyrich, IV and his wife Eva, of Locust Run; siblings, Sher Miller, of Stevensville, MD, Elizabeth Roten, of North Carolina, Judy Griffin, of Eden, North Carolina, Jack Halsey; and one grandson, Joseph L. Weyrich, V, of Thompsontown.
A son, Johnathan L. Weyrich, preceded her in death.
Mrs. Weyrich was a member of St. Jude’s Catholic Church, Mifflintown and the Lack-Tuscarora EMS, East Waterford.
Until retiring after 20 years of service, Jean was employed as a compliance officer for the USDA, of Philadelphia.
Jean enjoyed sewing and embroidery.
A visitation will be held from 7 – 9 p.m. on Friday, November 25, 2016 from the Brown Funeral Homes, Inc., 100 Bridge St., Mifflintown. All other services will be private.
