Kenneth R. Casner, 76, of Mifflintown died at 11:50 p.m. on Thursday, October 27, 2016 in the emergency room of the Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.
Born on August 9, 1940 in Rochester, Monroe County, New York, he was a son of the late Jamie and Edith E. (Walker) Casner. His first wife, Connie K. (Beaver) Casner preceded him in death on April 26, 1969 and on May 7, 1994 he married his surviving wife, Marian E. (Wileman) Casner with whom he was blessed to share more than 22 years of marriage.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters; Lillie M. Leight and her husband Richard, Rhonda L. Casner, all of Lewistown, step-children; Edward A. Miller and his wife Lisa, of Thompsontown, Marissa K. Miller-Berrier and her husband Jack, of Lewistown, Patrick E. Goss and his wife Christina, of Port Royal; 2 brothers, James Casner and his wife Helen, of Mifflintown, Donald Casner and his wife Josie, of Mifflin; and 8 grandsons.
Mr. Casner was a Vietnam veteran proudly serving his country with the U.S. Army and he was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge No. 925, Millerstown.
Kenneth retired as a truck driver from Walmart and during his retirement he remained active driving for Gary Ramsey Trucking of Mifflintown.
Ken enjoyed camping and loved both Penn State Football and NASCAR, however; his greatest joy came from his grandsons.
A viewing will be held from 6 – 8 p.m. Monday, October 31, 2016 at the Brown Funeral Homes, Inc., 100 Bridge St., Mifflintown.
All other services will be private.
The family will provide all funeral flowers and kindly ask that memorial donations in Mr. Csner’s memory be may to St. Jude’ Children Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
