Jill S. Chubb, 58, of Thompsontown, died at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 27, 2016 at the Pinnacle Health West Shore Hospital, Mechanicsburg.
Born on March 12, 1957, in Harrisburg, Dauphin County she was a daughter of the late Kenneth L. and Rita J. (Herb) Snyder. On August 12, 1978, she married her surviving husband Marlin E. Chubb. Jill’s passing breaks a loving union of more than 37 years. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Ceylon and Miriam Minnich and her paternal grandparents Herman and Helen Snyder.
A brother, Dwan Snyder and his wife Cindy, of Big Run (Lykens), 2 nieces, a nephew, many aunts and uncles and tons of cousins survives her.
She was a 1975 graduate of Upper Dauphin High School and a 1977 graduate of Central Penn Business School with an Associate’s Degree in Paralegal.
Mrs. Chubb attended the Delaware Mennonite Church and she served as the Auditor for Delaware Township.
Early in her career she had worked for various local attorneys, including the late Allen Shaffer. After which since 1984 she was employed by TE Connectivity as a financial credit analyst.
Jill loved cats and was over the top on everything about them. Missing her will be her four cats Redd, Jr., Ginger Snap and L. L. Bean. She grew and made hundreds of cat nip treats every year donating the money to various cat charities. She enjoyed her adopted state of Maine having spent every vacation at their home along the coast and eating lobster.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 12, 2016 from the Delaware Mennonite Church, 16 Delaware Church Road, Thompsontown, PA 17094 with the Pastor Glenn Hosler officiating. Burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
For the memorial service Jill had requested that everyone in attendance wear bright colored clothing to celebrate her life.
There will be no viewing but family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service Saturday at the church.
Following the memorial service there will be a time of food and fellowship at the church for everyone in attendance.
