Dona D. Isham, 87, of Thompsontown and formerly of San Diego, Calif. passed away at 7:20 a.m. on Monday, October 12, 2015 at her home.
Born on March 19, 1928 in San Diego, California she was a daughter of the late Matthew and Vida Mae (Beamon) Stein. On August 1, 1948, she married her late husband, Eldon F. Isham, who preceded him in death on August 22, 2006.
Surviving are her children, Pamela D. Henton and her husband Ellis, of Broomfield, CO, Cheryl L. Taylor, of San Diego, CA; daughter-in-law, Reine Isham, of Thompsontown; sister, June L. Dustin and her husband Carl, of Salt Lake City, Utah; six grandchildren, Shelley Overall, Kimberly Robbins, Michael Spears, Michelle Kuhn Krysta Taylor and Edward Taylor, and 11 great grandchildren.
Mrs. Isham was preceded in death by a son, Kirk Isham.
She was attending Locust Run United Methodist Church, Thompsontown, and had been a member of the Grace Covenant Church, Thompsontown and Peace In the Valley Church, El Cajon, CA.
Mrs. Isham was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening, sewing, knitting, needlework, and painting with water colors. She loved animals and cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren.
The funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, October 22 2015 from the Cypress View Chapel and Mausoleum, San Diego, CA. Interment will follow in the mausoleum.
Family and friends may gather for a time of fellowship at 10 a.m. until the time of service at the chapel.
