Obituary for Barbara A. "Barb" Yetter

Barbara A. “Barb” Yetter, 67, of Mifflin, died at 7:04 p.m., on Monday, July 20, 2015 in the Emergency Room of the Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.
Born on October 1, 1947 in Lewistown, Mifflin County she was a daughter of the late Charles E. Harris and Irene B. (Hockenberry) Harris Pyles. On June 22, 1968 she married her surviving husband, Albert W. “Bill” Yetter, with whom she was blessed to share more than 47 years of marriage.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Stacey Koppenhaver and her husband Dan, of Mifflin; sisters, Helen Watts and her husband Larry, of New Oxford, Virginia Haubert and her husband Robert, of McAlisterville; 4 grandchildren, Tyler Yetter, Matt Koppenhaver, Christopher Koppenhaver, Lacey Seiger and 5 great grandchildren, Launa Knepp, Alexis Yetter, Melody Seiger, Aubrie Heidler and Branson Koppenhaver.
One brother, Charles Harris and one daughter, Tammy I. Yetter preceded her in death.
She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Mifflin, the ladies auxiliary of the Crawford-Brubaker VFW Post 5863, Mifflintown and served 8 terms on the Mifflin Borough Council.
In earlier life, Mrs. Yetter was employed by Kinney Shoes, Beaver Springs and later was employed at the Ben Franklin, Mifflintown.
Barb loved doing crafts, but her greatest joy came from spending time with her grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 23, 2015 from the Brown Funeral Homes, Inc., 100 Bridge St., Mifflintown with Pastor Gary Krabill and Pastor Dan Kerlin officiating. Interment will follow in the Union Memorial Gardens, Mifflintown.
A viewing will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of service Thursday at the funeral home.
