Obituary for Deloris M. Nonemaker

Deloris M.  Nonemaker
Deloris M. Nonemaker, 80, formerly of McAlisterville, passed away at 7:00 p.m. Friday, February 27, 2015 at Ohesson Manor, Lewistown.
Born on March 14, 1934, in York, York County, she was a daughter of the late Kenneth H. and Margaret (Reidle) Taylor. On April 18, 1954, she married James M. “Jim” Nonemaker, with whom he shared more than 52 years of marriage, until he preceded her in death on June 11, 2006.
Surviving are her children, J. Michael Nonemaker, of Gettysburg, Janeen Watson and her husband Gary, of Youngstown, FL, Ann Scheirer and her husband Barry, of McAlisterville, Richard Nonemaker, of Mifflintown, grandchildren, Ashley Nonemaker, Kristan Nonemaker, Jennifer Nonemaker, Missi Finley and her husband Tim, Adrianna Neimond and her husband Tyler, Brandon Scheirer and his wife Kelley, Faith Nonemaker, and great grandson, Owen Neimond.
She is the last of her generation having been preceded in death by her brother, Robert Taylor.
Deloris was a 1952 graduate of West York High School and a 1954 graduate of Thompson Business Institute. She was also a member of the Lost Creek Presbyterian Church, McAlisterville and in earlier life was involved with the Girl Scouts of America where she served as “Cookie Mom”.
Mrs. Nonemaker started her career as the chief secretary for the York County Public Schools and later worked as an assistant buyer for the Bon Ton Stores, York until her retirement in 1993.
Her family was very important to her and she loved to spend time with them, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was also an avid reader and enjoyed gardening, antiquing and taking care of her animals.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, March 2, 2015 from the Lost Creek Presbyterian Church, McAlisterville with the Rev. Graham C. Fowler officiating. Interment will be private, in the Lost Creek Presbyterian Cemetery, McAlisterville
