Melissa A. “Missy” Hench, 52, of Mifflintown, passed away at 5:27 p.m., on Friday, October 27, 2017, at the Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.
Born on August 10, 1965, in Lewistown, Mifflin County, she is a daughter of Ronald E. Roush Sr. and her step-mom Irene of Port Royal and her late mother, Sharon (Shover) Roush. On August 25, 2012 she married her surviving husband, Cy M. Hench with whom she was blessed to share more than 5 years of marriage; however, they were together for a total of 26 years.
In addition to her husband, father and step-mom she is survived by her son, Erik S. Bargo and his wife Rylan, of Mifflintown; two step-daughters, Megan Brubaker and her husband Andy, of Newport, Nicole Leister of Allentown, three sisters, Robin L. Graham, of Mifflintown, Michelle L. Bargo and her husband Keith, of Port Royal, Tonda Roush of Mexico, and she leaves behind three precious granddaughters, Blair, Alex, and Lexi.
A brother, Ronald E. “Jake” Roush Jr., preceded her in death.
She was a 1983 graduate of Juniata High School, Mifflintown and a homemaker.
Missy loved doing crafts, especially Christmas decorations; however spending time with her granddaughters was her top priority.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 1, 2017, from the Brown Funeral Homes, Inc., 100 Bridge Street, Mifflintown, with Pastor Casey Hostler officiating. Interment will follow in the Westminster Presbyterian Cemetery, Mifflintown.
Viewing will be held from 6-8 pm, Tuesday, October 31, 2017, at the funeral home.
